I explore how design can engage with complex social issues, from poverty and inequality to healthcare and sustainability. Through service design and anthropology, I work to understand the systems behind these issues and imagine more just and sustainable ways forward. I am particularly interested in design for the Bottom of the Pyramid, social justice, and social sustainability, as well as the ways anthropology can inform design through the study of poverty, science and technology, and healthcare.
