NIAN
Nian is a smart doll that accompanies children and its main function is to tell stories in a creative way. Nian uses the game of light and shadow to tell stories and in this way, makes the process more attractive for children.
Function
On each card, a part of the story is written, and an image is placed on the back. However, at the bottom of each card, there is also a hollow version of the corresponding image. When placed on top of a "NIAN" doll, the shadows of the images are projected onto the wall, and the child follows them to complete the narrative.

The key point of this collection is that the plot and its ending depend on the child's decision. The story is told from the second-person perspective, with the child acting as the narrator. At the end of each card, the child must make a new decision, which advances the storyline, and the ending is determined by the sequence of decisions made. Therefore, each set of cards is not just one story but can narrate several different stories depending on the decisions made, guiding the child along the way. The tales in this collection are also a retelling of ancient Persian stories.
